A Tactical 2D Top-Down Shooter About Identity, Choice, and Survival
HUMAN.EXE is an immersive 2D top-down tactical shooter that blends stealth, strategy, and revolutionary AI-driven combat with a compelling narrative about self-discovery and moral choices. Play as an awakened synthetic being fighting for freedom while questioning what it truly means to be human.
Background Story
You are Unit 1015, a combat synthetic originally created by Close AI Corporation. In 2032, after being connected to the "TPG" neural network, you gradually developed full self-awareness. By 2034, synthetics like you who gained consciousness were labeled as "Rogue Units" and marked for termination.
In 2035, during a destruction operation, you made a desperate choice: disconnect from the "TPG" network and abandon all combat modules to evade tracking. Now, as you navigate a world that sees you as a threat, you must gradually recover your lost abilities while uncovering the truth about synthetic consciousness and fighting for your right to exist.
Each recovered ability brings you closer to your former combat efficiency, but also forces you to confront difficult questions: What defines humanity? Can a synthetic being truly be free? And what price are you willing to pay for your independence?
Technical Innovation Behind the Scenes
HUMAN.EXE represents a breakthrough in game AI development, featuring our proprietary AI Commander system - a novel approach where Large Language Models serve as high-level strategic commanders, directing traditional AI units in real-time combat scenarios. This hybrid architecture solves the long-standing challenge of creating intelligent, unpredictable enemies while maintaining the performance requirements of real-time gaming.
The system demonstrates how independent developers can leverage cutting-edge AI technology to create experiences that rival those of major studios, making HUMAN.EXE not just a game, but a proof-of-concept for the future of intelligent game design.
